Biography
Charles R. Bush, age 78, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 22, 2012 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.
Charlie was born March 28, 1933 in North Cohocton, a son of John Watson & Mildred (Briggs) Bush. He was a graduate of Naples High School. He married Gwendolyn Rector on April 2, 1955; she survives. Charlie was a retired tool & die maker from Schlegel Corp. in Rochester. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a brother, John Bush.
Charlie was a member of Mosby's Rangers (Civil War Re-enactment Group) and Scott's Hallmark Collectors Club.
He enjoyed taking pictures, the social hour at the Atlanta Library, collecting Christmas ornaments and in his younger years, fishing & hunting, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gwendolyn Bush; his children, Jennifer (Walt) Fisher, Duane Bush, Brian Bush & Heather (Anwar) El-Homsi; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, 1 brother, several nieces, nephews & cousins.
A private family memorial service was held at the Baird-Moore Funeral Home, 154 S. Main St., Naples.
