Samuel A. Hanggi, 71 died on Jan. 31, 2012 in Canandaigua.
Sam was born on Feb. 28, 1940 in Naples, NY a son of the late Albert and Clara Hanggi. Sam was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He is predeceased by brothers Robert, Hurbert, Donald and Albert Jr.; 2 sisters Rita Riesenberger and Alberta Fisher. He was a member of the Trinity Federated Church in Naples and loved to fish, hunt, gardening, canning, and Nascar.
Survived by a daughter, Tracy (Randy) Smith of Canandaigua, 2 sons, Darryl (Robin) Hanggi of Canandaigua and Matt Hanggi (Doyle Pruitt) of Stanley; step children, Kitsy Santee of Naples, Vivienne (Terry) Briggs of Corning, Leelannee Wink of Canandaigua, and Todd (Appun) Peck of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 2 sisters, Louise (Roger) Potter and Clara "Chub" Grove all of Naples, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on 10 am, Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Trinity Federated Church in Naples.
