Anita J. Cass

Anita Cass, 59, of Naples, NY passed away peacefully on April 28, at home surrounded by family.

Anita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her family was everything to her and she would do anything for them. Anita enjoyed hosting events and loved making memories together.

In addition to spending time with family, Anita enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling. Anita and Dave traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and Alaska. She was excellent at keeping things organized and used this quality throughout her career in administrative roles.

After retirement, Anita and Dave moved to Florida where they built a new home and enjoyed the sunshine state for nine years. Anita loved animals so much she opened a pet store in Boca Grande. After their time in Florida, they returned to their hometown of Naples, NY where they built a new home in the country. Anita enjoyed planting flowers, making a vegetable garden and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Anita's strength and courage shined throughout her life. She was always smiling and full of positive energy. Her kindness and compassion was felt by all.

Anita is survived by her loving husband David Cass of 21 years; her children Darien (Lauren) White, David S. Cass, Steven (Kenia) Cass, Lindsay (Josh) Acey, Travis Cass, daughter in law Michelle White and her grandchildren Kaylee White, Cassidy White, Ryan Cass, Keena Cass, Domingo Cass, Ava Acey, and Brooklyn Acey. Anita is also survived by her siblings Patricia (Harry) Davis, Daniel Martin, Barry (Liz) Martin, Annette (Daniel) Schultz, & Richard Martin and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anita was predeceased by her son Michael White and her parents William and Janice Martin.

A memorial service will be held at the Italy Valley Methodist Church on Thursday, May 4th at 3:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Italy Valley Methodist Church.
