Dennis Joseph Gray, age 58, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 at his home where he resided with his life-long best friend, Gary LeBar.
Dennis was born July 22, 1959 in Dansville, a son of Donald T. & Jacqueline (Fournier) Gray. He was a former employee for Greater-Tator in Wayland, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald T. Gray in 1991 & Jacqueline (Gray) VanDerhoof in 2017; also his special friend, Terry Orcutt, whom he was a caregiver for the last 8+ years.
He belonged to the Wayland American Legion SAL (Sons of the American Legion), helping them in any way he could from parades, to putting flags on graves of vets and he loved to collect history.
Dennis was a happy go lucky guy. Love to joke and make people laugh. He did a variety of jobs in his life, from meat cutter, farming, Gunlocke Chair Co., greater tater, nurseries, to traveling with the circus. He loved to fish, camp, cards and clowning around. He loved his scooter more than anything; that was his pride and joy; out riding around town and listening to his music was the best. He loved to visit with old friends. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone that he could. He would help deliver from the food pantry to elderly.
He is survived by his son, Ryan Morison; a brother, Richard (Carole) Jamison; a sister, Nancy Gray; a stepbrother, Jim Jamison; and a stepsister, Barbara Babinsack; three nieces, Cassia Gray, Charli Jamison and E3 Hospital Apprentice, US NAVY Rosalie Jamison and her husband E3 Hospital Apprentice, US NAVY Justin Butcher; also several cousins.
