Elizabeth A. Holbrook, age 97, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Premier Genesee Rehabilitation Center in Batavia.
She was born October 21, 1920 in Dansville, a daughter of Walter & Neva (Greer) Schutz. She was formerly employed at Blum Shoe Factory and Kelly Brothers Nursery both in Dansville. She married Milton L. Holbrook on July 18, 1964; he predeceased her on August 19, 2000. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Shannon Schneckenburger; sisters & brothers, Isabel McLean, Mary Beaupre, Walter Schutz & Russell Schutz.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, word search puzzles and watching television, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very sweet, funny & feisty person, who loved Tim Horton's coffee & donuts, Chinese takeout, and cheeseburgers.
She is survived by her children, Carol Jean Trejo, Jane Pierce and Debby (Steve) Schneckenburger; her grandchildren, Beth Scutt, Crystal Doty, Dennis Pierce, Lisa Pierce, Junior Motto & Phil Motto; many great-grandchildren; sisters & brothers, Bill Schutz, John Schutz, Eva Struble, Doris Schledorn, Marg Johnson & Rose Heiman; also many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Friends may call 12-2 pm Wednesday at the Chamberlin – Baird Funeral Home, 73 Main St., Dansville, where funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
