Eva Lynn Harter, age 79, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Eva Lynn was born September 18, 1937 in Elmira, a daughter of Leroy & Catherine (Noragong) Wilkinson. She married Tracy Charles Harter on November 26, 1955; he predeceased her on February 12, 2017. Eva Lynn was a former employee at the Wayland Foodmart in Wayland. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by 2 brothers, Leroy & David Wilkinson; a granddaughter, Heidi Lynn Rawleigh and a great grandson, Michael Eggleston.
She was a former member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wayland. She enjoyed gardening flowers, reading, her pet's and was a strong supporter of the Humane Society in Hornell, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Eva Lynn is survived by her children, Beth (Neil) Sauerbier, Deb (Roger) Boisvert, Tracie Lynn (Michael) Simons, Marty (Teri) Harter & Kelly (Jim) Shaffer; 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Steven (Betty) Wilkinson; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Margaret (Dan) Downey, Wilma (Frank) King, Illa France & Eloise Harter; many nieces, nephews & cousins.
A memorial service will be held 1 pm, Saturday, May 27th at the First Presbyterian Church, 54 Maple Ave., Cohocton. Donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
