Eugene S. Stephens died quietly on the evening of January 23, 2018 at the age of 87.
Gene grew up in Irondequoit attending Irondequoit High School and then going on to Hamilton College graduating in 1952. He then served in the Navy for three years returning to attend Cornell Law School. He ultimately moved to Rochester and worked in Kodak's patent department where he discovered patent law served his professional needs and desires. His career included private practice with George Shaw and he subsequently went into solo practice where he remained for most of his career.
Gene is survived by his wife Wendy Menzie and his children Patricia Wilson, Jeffrey Stephens, Brian Stephens, Suzanne Prindle and their spouses and children. He is also survived by his step children Cathy French, Robyn Ruffier, Cindy O'Grady, David Lewis, Kristen Hoskins, and Gordon Lewis along with their spouses and children.
