Obituary of Jean Fogle

Jean Elizabeth Fogle, age 91, passed away peacefully Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Livingston County CNR in Mt. Morris.

Jean was born May 10, 1926 in Conesus, a daughter of Lynn & Lola (Kenyon) Stocking. She married Donald F. Fogle on June 6, 1947; he predeceased her on February 5, 1998. She and Don moved to Bath after getting married; then they moved to Wayland, where she lived most of her adult life. She began working at the Potato Factory in Perkinsville; then she worked at the Wayland Woodcroftry. She then worked as the bookkeeper for many years at Rogers & Tenbrook Lumber in Wayland. In addition to her parents & husband, Jean was also predeceased by a sister, Joyce Barber and a brother-in-law, Homer Fogle.

Jean was a member of the Wayland United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She also was a Cub Scout & Girl/Brownie Scout leader for many area children. She was a Literacy Volunteer for the Wayland area and a past member of the Wayland Hospital Auxiliary.

Jean is survived by her children, Daniel (Laurie) Fogle, Christine (Don) Muldoon and Anita (Steve) Sudlik; 6 grandchildren, Alyssa (Brandon) Bannach, Christopher Sudlik, Brady Fogle, Melissa Fogle, Alison Stephens & Andrew Stephens; 6 great-grandchildren, Peyton Stephens, Macie Stephens, Wyatt Reed, Morgan Grace Reed, Marina Sudlik and Avery Fogle; many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Per Jean's request, there will be no prior calling. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wayland Fire Department or the Wayland Public Library.
