Ray H. Schuh, age 85, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 from injuries he sustained while deer hunting.
Ray was born April 9, 1931 in Buffalo, a son of Henry & Emma (Unger) Schuh. He was a graduate of the Cincinnati Bible College (now called Cincinnati Christian University); he also received his Master's Degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. He married Katherine Zugrovich on June 11, 1966; she survives. Ray began his career as a teacher. He then became a missionary minister and continued his ministry and missionary work for over 60 years. He also returned to teaching as well, teaching at area schools in Wayland and Dansville.
Ray had many hobbies such as singing, hunting and fishing and being in the outdoors. He was a member of the Wayland Aires singing group, a co-founder of the Mt. View Church Camp in Sparta and a former Boy Scout.
Ray is survived by his wife, Katherine; 1 son, Lowell (Kay) Ling; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan Ling, Kristin Ling & Kaitlyn Babiarz; 5 great grandchildren; many cousins and dear friends and neighbors.
Friends may call 2-3 pm Sunday, Nov. 27th at the Chamberlin – Baird Funeral Home, 73 Main St., Dansville, where a prayer service will be held at 3 pm. A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Saturday Dec. 3rd , at the Anchor Christian Church, 375 Beaver Rd., Rochester, NY 14624.
