Charles Edward "Charlie" Wray, age 54, gained his "Angel Wings", Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Charlie was born July 8, 1964 in Wayland, a son of Edward & Betty (Wilson) Wray. He was a 1982 graduate of Wayland Central School. He was a welder & driver for Advantage Metal Works in Rochester; he also previously worked at Stone Construction and drove for Werner Trucking. In addition to his parents, Charlie was also predeceased by a sister, Jane (Wray) Zurlick.
Charlie enjoyed dirt track racing, traveling to Black Rock Raceway in Dundee and Leicester Speedway. He also enjoyed deer hunting, motorcycles, watching "Gunsmoke", "The Rifleman" and WWE Wrestling. But, most of all he was a "Chevy Man" and loved spending time with his family & friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Thelma Rose (Charlie Barcomb) & Helen (Wayne) Blake; his brother, Richard (Jacquline) Wray; aunts & uncles, Don & Joyce Wilson, John & Linda Wray, Jim & Linda Wray and David & Ruth Wray; many nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends.
Friends may call 1-4 pm Sunday, July 29th at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, 300 West Naples St., Wayland, where funeral services will be held at 4 pm.
