Daniel Patrick "Plow Boy" Thomas, born on November 26, 1952, left this earth on Saturday, October 23, 2021 after a long and hard fought battle with cancer and all of the residual issues that come with the horrible disease. Anyone that knew Danny, is aware of the strength and dignity in which he fought. His stubbornness got him through it all. He handled every roadblock with humor and loved holding court with any unsuspecting healthcare worker who had the privilege of treating him. His knack of telling the tallest tales made him the bell of every ball. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Danny is predeceased by his father, William Thomas. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Jane Thomas; his siblings: Marie (James) Craig, Timothy (Carol) Thomas, Connie (George) Snyder, David (Trish Perkins) Thomas & Susan (James) Farrell; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, & great nephews: Amy (Tyler) Henson with Ellie, Cooper, & Thomas; Phillip (Sarah) Craig with Oliver, Alice, & Teddy; Kevin (Mariel) Thomas with Keagan, Tobin, & Violet; Jason "JT" (Laura) Thomas; Michael (Hannah) Snyder with Leo; Jennifer Snyder; Cory (Jenille) Thomas with Gemma; Matthew Thomas; Brady Perkins; Kasey (Tom) Jamison with Ross & Brenna; & Charlie Farrell; and many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Danny was an avid New Orleans Saints and New York Mets fan. He loved to hunt when he was able. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed feeding and watching the wildlife outside of his window. He was known to send funny texts and have lengthy conversations. He was one of a kind!! Danny was adamant that he did not want anything formal upon his death. In honor of his wishes, we will be celebrating his life from 2pm - 5pm on Saturday, October 30th at the home of his brother, Tim Thomas: 7814 Wheaton Hill Road, Springwater NY 14560. Please feel free to stop in for a minute or stay as long as you would like; the family is looking forward to all the stories about Danny and hope to share the joy that he was. Tears are optional, laughter is mandatory.
