Eunice H. Stopka, age 94, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. Eunice was born Oct. 3, 1927, in Prattsburgh, a daughter of Clifton & Helen Northrop. She served the Steuben Board of Elections for over 37 years. She received a certificate for her service which she was extremely proud. She was avid bowler and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame; with a 20+ year perfect attendance. She worked several years at Widmer Winery; but she was well known for her baking and pie making by family, friends and other bakers. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; son-in-law, Steve Potter, daughter-in-law, Jeanine Stopka, three sisters, Shirley Geer, Lola Trischler and Ethel Major and two brothers, Bob Northrop and Tom Northrop. She is survived by her children, Roger Stopka and Joanne Potter; 3 grandchildren, Anissa Packowski, Benjamin Stopka and Ryan Potter; 6 great grandchildren, Isabella, Nick and Ava Packowski, Cameron and Jason Stopka and Brooks Potter; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service is being planned for a future date. Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
