Ronald G. Sick, age 79 of Atlanta, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Ron was born on May 05, 1943 in Atlanta to the late Daniel J. and Thelma K. (Bergman) Sick. He grew up in Atlanta and graduated from Wayland Central School in 1961. Ron was honorably discharged from the United States Army Reserves, where he served from 1964-1970 after completing his active-duty service. Ron had a few different jobs throughout his life but spent most of his time working as a diesel mechanic. Ron had many hobbies over the years. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, playing guitar, woodworking, and electronics to name a few, and could fix just about anything. Ron loved to fly and had obtained his fixed wing pilots license in 1988, and then spent countless hours flying in his Cessna airplane. Ron also had a gyrocopter that he learned to fly and enjoyed very much. Ron loved animals and enjoyed the countless hours of entertainment provided by his cat Wiki. In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his brother Daniel. He is survived by his son, Steven (Ronda) Sick; grandchildren, Brianna and Bradley Sick; sister-in-law Dottie Sick, niece Mary Sick, nephews Michael Sick (Michele Smith), Jeffery Sick (Domina Forte) and several cousins. Family and Friends may call from 4pm-6pm on Friday June 17, 2022 at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, 300 West Naples St., Wayland where funeral services will be held at 6pm.
