Roger H. Sick, age 76, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 at his home.
Roger was born June 11, 1941 in the Town of Cohocton, a son of Stanley & Irene (Kern) Sick. He was a graduate of Wayland Central School. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1960 to 1967. He was a former Warehouse Manager for RW Dake Contracting in East Rochester. He married Agnes Marie Gross on June 28, 1986; she predeceased him on Sept. 28, 2012. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also predeceased by his son, Shane Sick and his brother, Richard Sick.
Roger attended the Naples Bible Church. He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR; especially Dale Earnhardt Jr., the Pittsburgh Steelers and Wednesday night Bible study; but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his children, Brandon (Kelley) Sick & Seana (Larry) Winchester; his step-children, Shanyn (Mark) Toulouse, Wendy Schaffer, Brian (Jessica) Schaffer, Kellie (Tim) Bruchmueller & Amy Schaffer (Darryl Lebo); 14 grandchildren; his sister, Shirley (Robert) Peck; his sisters-in-law & brother-in-law, Carol Sick & James & Carolyn Gross; several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sunday at the Naples Bible Church, 8833 NY-53, Naples, NY 14512, where funeral services will be held 11 am, Monday. Burial with full military honors will be held in Clearview Cemetery, N. Cohocton, NY.
