James E. (Jim) Breese age 62, passed away Friday September 14, 2018 after a brave, five-week battle with a grievous brain infection.
Jim was born on June 29, 1956,in Waterloo, a son of the late John E. and Elizabeth Breese, also predeceased by his step father Jay Stryker.
A graduated from Waterloo High School in 1975, Jim worked at Mathews of Seneca Falls and later took a position at Goulds Pumps of Seneca Falls, where he served for 81/2 years until his death.
Soft spoken with a tall, lanky physique, thick mustache, and a gentle sense of humor, Jim Breese was devoted to his family: his wife Karin, his son Kody, their American Eskimo dog, Cookie, and their cats. Together they lived on a vineyard in South Bristol where he liked nothing better than sitting with a cup of coffee, surveying the beautiful vistas of his beloved surroundings, watching the wildlife and his beloved birds.
Jim was an avid fitness buff with a discipline for working out. He enjoyed his work, and during his time off, he liked spending time at home with his family and friends. Favorite hobbies included woodworking, detailing the family's cars and trucks and working in the yard. Jim had a fondness for boats and motorcycles, both of which he owned and cherished during recent years.
In addition to his wife Karin and son Kody, Jim Breese is survived by a step daughter Kailee Sepkowski, 2 special aunts Fran Weil and Gail Arnold, brother-in-law Kevin Rowell, his brother John Breese and his wife Carolyn, , nephews John and his wife Lori , Chris and his wife Kristy, and Josh Breese, and niece Shelby, four great nephews, and one great niece and so many dear friends whom he considered family.
A celebration of Jim Breese life will be held at a date to be announced.
