Obituary of James Pullar
James M. Pullar, age 85, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at his home, surrounded by family.
Jim was born May 16, 1933 in Hornell, a son of Lester & Onolee (Hocroft) Pullar. He signed up for the National Guard July 26, 1950. Jim married Evelyn Wing on March 30, 1952; she survives. Jim was a retired inspector, parts manager and union representative at Foster Wheeler Corp. in Dansville, after 43 years of dedicated service. In addition to his parents, Jim was also predeceased by his siblings, Jean Holbrook, Jack Pullar, Jay Pullar & Richard "Dickie" Dugo.
Jim was a past member of the Dansville Moose and the Coachman Camper Club; he enjoyed bowling in the mixed league in Hornell with Evelyn, playing Texas Hold-em, scratch off tickets, hunting, fishing; he made a fish pond to watch and catch fish, tending his vegetable garden, collecting model trains, oil lamps, a CB'er with the handle "Roadrunner", taking photographs around the house and when they traveled; they went on cruises to the Caribbean Island and Puerto Rico. He always said family was first and Sundays were our family day. All were welcome and there was always great food to eat and lots of togetherness. We watched football and went to some live games; but most of all he loved spending time with his family & friends.
