Obituary of Earl Chapman

Earl "Brad" Chapman, Dansville, passed away surrounded by his family after a brief illness on Saturday October 27, 2018.

Brad was born the son of Arthur D Chapman and Vesta Carol Kinney on January 26, 1954. He graduated from DCHS in 1972 and joined the Navy in 1973 serving four years. During that time he married Linda J Mark on August 31, 1974. After the military, they moved back to Dansville where they bought a house and raised a family.

Brad was very involved in his community serving as Town of N Dansville Councilman, Member Dansville Fire Department (Protectives) 46 years, DFD Drum Corps, Life member of the Dansville Ambulance Corps, Past Secretary DFD, Part time dispatcher for Dansville Police Department, Life member of Livingston County Fire Association, Life member Western New York Fire Association, Coach and President of the Dansville Cinderella Softball, Past Commander and Life Member of American Legion Post 87, President of the Past Commanders Club, Commander and Life member of Amvets Post 187, member of the Dansville Moose and a member of the Dansville Lions Club and Endman. He retired from the Village of Dansville.

Brad is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Vesta Chapman, brothers Duane and Richard, niece Stacy Kershner and brother in law Paul Sick. He is survived by his wife Linda, daughters Laura and Brandy, grandchildren Treva, Landon, Azlyn and Vinton, all from Dansville. Brother Timothy (Barb) Chapman, Sister Valerie (Robert) Kershner and Brother Donald Chapman. Sister in law Donna Sick, Brothers in law Kevin (Lei) Mark, Roger (Marleen) Mark and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4-8 on Thursday November 1st at the Chamberlin-Baird Funeral Home 73 Main St. in Dansville. A Funeral service will be held on Friday November 2nd at the Four Square Church in Dansville at 10:30am. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery with full military honors.
