Virginia L. McInnis, lived a full 76 years with passion and energy. She passed away on March 28, 2019 at UR Strong Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Virginia was born on April 3, 1942, the second child of five children to John Z. and Norma J. (Woodworth) Saltzer in Hornell, NY. She was an extremely proud mother of three; Sebrina (John), Michael (Veronica) and Brigette (Eric) and "Bubby" and "Grandma Ginnia" to her five wonderful grandchildren: Abigail, Madeline, Elliot, Olivia and Ruby.
She was a graduate of Alfred-Almond Central School and went on to a career as a lab technician at Crowley Foods, in Arkport. After retirement, she found her passion teaching skiing lessons at Swain Ski Resort.
In addition to spending time on the slopes, she could be found gardening, reading, knitting, crocheting, singing and dancing to her music. Most of all, she enjoyed summers at Black Lake and her beloved dogs, Spencer and Simon.
Please join us to Celebrate Virginia's Life and share your memories from 2-6 pm, Saturday, April 13th, at Nugget Hill, 11864 County Route 93, Wayland, NY.
