Obituary of Sabrina E. Gauer

Sabrina Elizabeth Gauer, 30, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family after a year-long journey with Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

Sabrina was born on August 12, 1988 in Sacramento, CA to the late George (Buddy) W. Gauer Jr. and Maria Claudia (Gutierrez) Gauer. Sabrina grew up in Springwater, NY and moved as an adult to Rochester, NY where she received her B.A. degree in Communications and Rhetoric from Nazareth College in 2008. She worked as the Communications Coordinator at 13Thirty Cancer Connect, and established herself as a Certified Integrative Health Coach encouraging and supporting others in mind, body, and spirit wellness.

Sabrina's passions and talents were many. She loved singing and playing guitar, especially while leading worship services. As an internationally published writer, her words and stories were shared through multiple publications and her public blog (www.SabrinaGauer.com). She loved traveling throughout the U.S. and overseas. Her favorite vacation was an unforgettable trip to Bali, Indonesia with her cousin, Jessica. Sabrina loved nature and the outdoors, uplifted by its beauty and wonder. She enjoyed deep conversation and spending quality time with family and friends, and more than anything, loved encouraging others in their faith journeys and relationships with Jesus.

Sabrina leaves treasured memories to her mommy Maria Claudia Gauer, 4 best friends and siblings, Veronica, Monika, Erik, and Krystina Gauer, her maternal grandmother, and aunts, uncles, and cousins. In everything she did and every word she spoke, Sabrina sought to help others and bring glory to God.

Sabrina's family invites all to a Celebration of Life at Fox Run Vineyard, 670 State Route 14, Penn Yan, NY 14527 on Sunday, June 2nd at 3:00PM. More information will follow on www.SabrinaGauer.com and Facebook.
