James J. Haremza Sr., age 64, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
James was born in Buffalo on February 18, 1956 to the late Emil & Loretta (Zgoda) Haremza. On May 15, 1976 James married the love of his life, Penny Hilton, she survives. Together they shared over 44 years of marriage and raised three children.
James held an Associate's Degree and was a HVAC technician for many years working for several companies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR and working on his boat. Most of all, Jim loved spending time and playing with his children and grandchildren; he was a small man with a tall soul who unconditionally loved his family. He worked very hard to provide for his family and fought tough to battle his illnesses to spend as much time on Earth as he could to be there for his family, he was and is their hero. As Jim always said, "Everything is going to be okay."
James is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Penny; his children: James John (Jessica) Haremza Jr., Joshua Micheal (Sarah) Haremza, & Shannon Beth (Ethan) Haremza-Poole; his grandchildren: Madison Haremza, Dominic Haremza, James Haremza III, Savannah Shaffer- Haremza, Aria Poole, Lilliana Poole, Bailey, Lillian & Quam; his great-grandson, Sylas; and his sister, Christine (John) Santora.
In addition to his parents, James was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Trinity.
