Obituary of Stella Alice Thompson

Naples Stella Alice (Lafler) Thompson, age 96, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Hospeace House in Naples on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Stella was born on August 26, 1923 in South Bristol NY to the late Asa & Alice (Fox) Lafler. Stella was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking & gardening, she was a devoted member of the Bristol Springs Free Church where she had many friends, & she appreciated her VFW family. Stella was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. Stella is survived by her children: Butch (Harriet) Thompson, Roger (Emma) Thompson & Donna (John) Bush; her grandchildren: Michael (Linda) Webster, Connie (John ) Borchardt, Lori (Brian) Proper, Shawn (Lisa) Thompson, Scott (Andrea) Thompson, Stacy (Joe) Fleischman, & John (Nicole) Bush; her great-grandchildren: Korey, Whitney, Samantha, Jalen, Hannah, Kacey, Brandon, Giuliona, Nevah, Mykel Kyla, & J.J.; her great-great-grandchildren: Alex, Sophia, & Colton and many nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends. The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to all of the beautiful people at the Hospeace House for their excellent care of "Gram." They will forever be grateful for the love and compassion that was given to her; the Hospeace House family will always hold a special place in their hearts. Stella's family will be holding a graveside service at Rose Ridge Cemetery at 10am on Saturday, June 27, 2020 with Pastor Mark Spaid officiating. The family is planning a public Celebration of Life at the Bristol Springs Free Church in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family compassionately asks you to consider making a memorial contribution to the Naples Hospeace House (Box 343, Naples NY 14512).
