Dean A. Woodard, 61 of Naples, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 after a short but tough battle with Leukemia.
Dean is the youngest of 8 siblings, born on January 28th, 1960 in Canandaigua, NY.
Dean is predeceased by his mother, Marlene; and his brothers: Timmy and Michael. Dean or Rhino, a nickname given to him by childhood friends, was known for his love of music, especially playing his guitar and writing his own lyrics. He loved playing and watching basketball, and spent his Sunday's cheering on the Denver Broncos. He enjoyed going to work everyday, joking around and spending time with his Hazlitt family for the last 10 years. Deano was always there to lend a hand when needed and was the kind of friend you went to when you needed advice, a hug, a "love ya", or a good laugh, (we all know how contagious his laugh was).
He is survived by his father, Vergil; sisters: Mary Lou, Shelly (Marty), Marie, & brother Jimmy all of Naples; a brother, David in Alaska; his children, Vergil and Dylan of Texas, Nash and BethAnne of Arizona; his grandchildren: Brooke, Jordan, Kloey, & Ty; 4 nieces, 2 nephews, 7 great nieces, 3 great nephews, 1 great-great nephew and many cousins & countless awesome friends.
Lastly, a big thank you to the one who took Dean to his appointments, and spent countless hours by his side during his treatments, his "little brother" Marty (Zippy) Chapman.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
