Obituary of Clayton W. Schenk

Clayton W. Schenk Jr., age 73, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 15, 2021. Clayton was born on October 23, 1947 in Bristol Springs to the late Clayton & Evelyn (Sennett) Schenk Sr. Clayton was a finisher at Lake Country Woodworkers for 45 years. He loved building things and keeping his hands moving. He was an incredibly hard worker and did whatever he could to support his family. Clayton had a love for animals but enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Clayton is predeceased by his siblings: Bruce Stone, Gary Schenk & Sharon Jennings. Clayton is survived and will be sorely missed by his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Karen (Gage) Schenk; his children: Mike Schenk, Toury Gage, Amanda (Jeff) Hicks, Joey (Nicole Marcera) Rought, Chancey Schenk & Sabrina Wilferth who was like a daughter to Clayton; 8 grandchildren, including his special granddaughter, Abagail Smith who was the light of Clayton's life; Ava Deacon who was like a granddaughter to Clayton; 1 great-grandchild; his siblings: Diane (John) Yacuzzo, Dwayne (Tom Traver) Schenk, Robert (Beverly) Schenk, Clifford Stone, & Marlyn (David Martin) Faber; his loving dogs: Teddy, Tanner & Colby; many nieces, nephews, cousins and local friends. Friends may call from 11am-1pm on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Baird-Moore Funeral Home in Naples; burial services will be at the convenience of the family. Please note that social distancing, no-contact policies and facial coverings are required at the funeral home. Please enter through the front door facing Main Street and exit out the rear into the parking lot.
