Stewart L. Teed, age 73 of Wayland, passed away unexpectedly late Sunday evening on April 18, 2021.
Stewart was born February 13, 1948 in Wayland to the late Milton & Alberta (Gross) Teed. Stewart was a graduate of Wayland Central School and honorably served our country in Vietnam from 1969-1971 before being honorably discharged with a Purple Heart.
Stewart had great love for his family and was very kind to all of the important women in his life. He loved to fish, especially on Hemlock Lake with his son-in-law, Ken; in his spare time, he practiced his woodworking skills. Stewart was fond of his John Deere tractors. Whether he was mowing his designated portion of his yard, playing in the dirt, or just driving his "Precious Angels" around, including his dogs, especially Riley. Though he had many interests, Stewart truly loved spending time with his family and his granddaughters that he referred to as his, "Precious Angels."
Stewart is survived and will be sorely missed by his loving and devoted wife of over 50 years, Marlene (Belanger); his beloved daughter, Elise (Ken) Bowers; his two precious angels, Alexia & Kamren Bowers, Miguel (Ashley Colopy) Ortiz-Teed; his side-kick & companion, Riley; his sister, Elizabeth Palmer; his siblings-in-law: Bert (Joan) Belanger, Conrad (Nancy) Belanger, & Gary (Donna) Belanger; his special friend, Mrs. "Lee" Morsch; and many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
In addition to his parents, Stewart is predeceased by his siblings: Rita Graham, James Teed & Diane Teed; and his brother-in-law, John Belanger.
Friends and family are invited to call from 4pm - 7pm on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home in Wayland. Funeral & burial services will be held privately. Stewart will be buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Wayland.
