Charlotte Lottie (Turney) (Fox) Aaserud was 1 of 4 children born to Minnie and Wilfred Turney on August 30, 1926. She is predeceased by her husband Leonard, her son, Leonard Jr, as well as her 2 son-in-law's, David Conklin and Jack Meredith; her brother Sam; 2 sisters, Helen & Maggie and 3 grandchildren, Michael Jr., Justin and James.
She was married to Leonard for over 30 years; in this time they had 10 children; Susan Tilley (William), Rita Conklin (David), Michael Fox (Kathy), Judy Meredith (Jack Sr.), Leonard Fox Jr., Maxine Grubb (Dave), David Fox, Donald Fox (Donna), Harold Fox (Sharon) and Sherry Fox (Robert). Life was not easy in these years due to tragedy, loss and life struggles, but, as a family they held together and persevered through the support of one another and family love. Over time, Charlotte lost her first love and a hole was left in her heart. Then after many years came her next true love, Richard (Dick) Aaserud. They were married on a beautiful July day in 2001. All of her family was present as their 74 year old matriarch went down the aisle for the last time. Their love was a connection, as Dick would often refer to Charlotte as" Babe" and this always gave her butterflies in her stomach and a beautiful smile across her lips.
Charlotte enjoyed many activities such as collecting dolls, owls, clocks and many more items. She loved going to garage sales and even throw an occasional yard sale herself. She would often be in the company of her dearest friend Faye. She loved to tell stories to anyone that would listen (including random people that would be near her at the doctor's office or other events). She also adored her many grandchildren and her many-many great grandchildren and she even had 3 great-great grandchildren. In the years to come, Charlotte and Dick enjoyed life together with their dog "Snowball", who unfortunately passed last year. In time of late, Dick took care of his wife with love and was there for anything she needed right up to the end.
On June 22, 2021, Charlotte at the great age of 94, unfortunately was sent to heaven to be an angel and to look over her family as they did for her. The family wishes to invite you to join in celebrating Charlotte's amazing life, Saturday June 26, 2021 at Baird – Moore Funeral home. Calling hours will be 11am-1 pm with the funeral service at 1pm. She will be buried next to her first love Leonard at Italy Valley Cemetery to follow. (We ask that you ride together with family or friends in a car; as there is limited parking.) Charlotte had a lot of people who loved her. After the burial we will all gather at 8 Monier Street in Naples for a celebration of life party, where we will laugh and cry reminiscing of the memories of our dear Charlotte.
