Obituary of Karen H. Doty

Karen Hanggi Doty "Mimi" passed away September 24th surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born December 22, 1947 to the late Donald and Joyce (Morrow) Hanggi. She is survived by her daughters: Rachelle (Steve) Cromwell & Lisa Doty; her grandchildren: Victoria, Morgan, Ryan & Parker; her sister, Diane (Hanggi) Reynolds; and Karen's adoring partner, James (Jimmer) Donley. Karen is also survived by her Aunts, Louise Potter and Ruth Briggs as well as many relatives. Karen's life was full of laughter and she loved entertaining. She spent many summers gathering with family and friends at the cottage on Canandaigua Lake, and her winters traveling to Florida. She loved her time with people, especially her grandchildren. Karen worked at Bob and Ruth's Restaurant as a waitress for 25 years. She also spent 30 years at the U.S. Postal Service, and was the proud owner of Karen's Korner Kollectibles. She was a member of the Maxfield Hose Ladies Auxilliary, Trinity Federated Church, The Red Hat Society, the Naples Central School Alumni Association and a volunteer at the Naples Open Closet. Family and Friends are invited to calling hours Friday, October 1st from 4pm – 7pm at the Baird-Moore Funeral Home, 154 South Main St. Naples NY. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at 11am at the Maxfield Hose Company Memorial Hall at 8181 Maxfield Rd Naples NY.
