Joshua Ryan Short, also known as, "Josh," "Jay," or "Trippy J," age 26 of Cohocton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 17, 2021 in Phoenix Arizona. Born in Poughkeepsie NY on September 26, 1994, Josh was always a free spirit with a huge heart who would help anyone in need. Josh loved to travel and was well known amount the large group of fellow travelers who called themselves, "The Dirty Kids." Josh loved music and was well known for singing, playing guitar and busking in all of the various places that he traveled. Josh is survived by his loving parents, Bunnie & Tim Short; his siblings: Elliott, Ashley & Kali Short; life-long friend/brother, Johnny Nickels; his children: Zephyr & Serenity Short; and loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins & many friends. Josh will be deeply missed by both his immediate family & friends and his travelling friends. A Celebration of Josh's life will be announced at a later date.
