Obituary of Beverly Burke Sirvent
Beverly Burke-Sirvent passed away peacefully on October 2nd with her family at her bedside.
Beverly was born February 5, 1935 to the late Howard and Ruth Burke (Olney)
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Manuel Sirvent; daughter, Beverly (Kurt LaTray); sons Howard, Nathan (Kim); her grandchildren: Sophia, Niko, Nolan, Liam and Roan.
Beverly loved life, travel, God, and serving others. She always had a smile and made everyone feel welcome in her home.
Beverly graduated from Naples Central School as the Valedictorian in 1952. She received a scholarship from Rochester General Hospital in the nursing program. Upon graduation, she moved to Chicago to continue her studies at Moody Bible Institute, and worked as a nurse at Chicago General.
She later moved to Mexico City as a missionary, and worked at an orphanage. She met Manuel and they married in 1965.
Beverly became an English teacher once her children were school-age and continued to teach for the following 10 years.
Beverly and Manuel returned to New York in 1995, where she worked as a nurse at Fairport Baptist Home until she retired in 2008.
Beverly continued to travel to Mexico during the winter months, where she never turned down a Piña Colada while at the beach.
Family and Friends are invited to calling hours Saturday, October 16th from 1pm – 3pm at the Baird-Moore Funeral Home, 154 South Main St. Naples, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held the same day (Saturday) at 4pm at the Ingleside Christian Church, 11528 Babcock Rd, Naples, NY 14512
