Wilbur D. "Bill" Knapp Jr., age 60, passed away in Dansville on Saturday, November 27, 2021 after a brief illness.
Bill was born on April 10, 1961 in Rochester to the late Wilbur D. & Dorothy E. (Clark) Knapp Sr. Bill worked many jobs but was most recently employed as a mechanic at SUNY Geneseo. He was part of the Conesus Riders and a member of the Moose Club and the Moose Riders. He enjoyed spending time and riding horses at Dusty Boots, LTD in Belmont NY. Bill was very proud to be an AA member and celebrated 10 years of sobriety; he was also proud to have served our country and was a US Marine Corps Veteran.
In addition to his parents, Bill is also predeceased by his brother, also named Wilber D. "Bill" Knapp, his sister, Judy Deck, and brother-in-law, Michael Avery.
Bill is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lucinda "Cindy" (Sick) Knapp; his special friend, Julie Ludwig; his children: Wilbur Knapp III and Melanie Senatus; 4 grandchildren; his siblings: Thomas Knapp, Carolyn Aldrich, Deborah Avery, John (Deborah) Knapp, Ron (Sara) Knapp, Ernest (Tricia) Knapp & Robert (Deborah) Knapp; & many nieces, nephews and great-nieces & nephews.
Family and friends may call from 11am – 12pm on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Chamberlin-Baird Funeral Home, 73 Main Street, where funeral services will be held at 12pm. A military service will conclude the funeral.
