Obituary of Kenneth L. Johnson
Kenneth L. Johnson, age 78, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
Ken was born on August 8, 1943 in Nunda to the late Harold & Arlene (Davis) Johnson. After graduating high school in 1961, Ken joined the United States Army and served our country during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he married Julia "Judy" Cornbau and together celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Ken was a proud member of the Daniel Goho Post 87 American Legion in Dansville. In his younger years, Ken enjoyed golfing, camping and bowling; he liked sitting on the front porch admiring the view from the house and watching the people go by. Ken loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ken is predeceased by his brother, Harold Johnson.
Ken is survived and will be sorely missed by his loving wife, Julia "Judy" Johnson; his children: Kenneth A. (Carrie) Johnson, Deborah (Jeff) Burtt & Mark Johnson; his grandchildren: Jeremiah & Reann Johnson and Michael Burtt; his siblings: Sandy Kershner & Linda (Jim) Vogel; his siblings-in-law: Ed Cornbau & Vivian Pfuntner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues & friends.
Family & friends are invited to call from 11am – 1pm on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Chamberlin-Baird Funeral Home, 73 Main Street, Dansville where funeral services will be held at 1pm. Burial will immediately follow in Kiehle Cemetery, Sparta where Ken will be laid to rest with full military honors.
