Dewitt R. "Dewey" Clark, age 85 of Wayland NY, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 after a short illness. Dewey was born on August 21, 1936 in Avoca to the late Wardner & Alice (Wheaton) Clark. In addition to his parents, Dewey is also predeceased by his siblings: Arthur (Celia), Elmond (Mary), Erie (Peg), Leland (Lois) & Beatrice (Stanley) Beamish. Dewey is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Florence "Emily;" his sons: Gordon (Carol), Leverne (Jacqueline), Dale (Shannon); his daughters: Crystal (Rodney) Clark & Kimberly (Timothy) Gayhart; his sister, Lydia Hagadone; sister-in-law, Elaine Nadeau; brother-in-law, David Nadeau; grandson: Brian (Stephanie) Clark; granddaughters: Brianna & Victoria Clark; several step grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. Family & friends may call from 11am – 1pm on Monday, March 14 at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Wayland where funeral services will be held at 1pm. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery, N. Cohocton. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to the VA in Dewey's name.
